The Times

“This bucolic farmhouse in the heart of the Bresse countryside is owned by the jolly Marie-Eugénie Dupuy and has a magic about it that brings people back time and again. Her warm welcome, along with her gourmet evening meals (this is the land of the famous Bresse chicken and the much-loved classic dish coq au vin) and sumptuous breakfasts are attractions in themselves. Meanwhile, the five charming bedrooms are decorated in soft grey tones, some with four-poster beds, and make the perfect haven for an overnight stop.

The Telegraph

“This is rural France at its most welcoming.”

The Guardian

“The bedrooms are delightful, with walls painted in soft colours and adorned with modern art.”

Beautiful property, hospitality, experience

“Marie-Eugenie and her husband provide warm welcome to their classic and beautifully restored Bresse home and rooms. Both are enthusiastic hosts, and Marie-Eugenie bubbles with enthusiasm and hospitality. The rooms reflect their taste and demand for quality; fine beds and excellent baths. The public area of their home is warm and conducive to conversation; dinners are superb, fresh, prepared with love and precision. The grounds invite you to sit back with a good book and enjoy the spacious and well tended garden. This is a very special property to which I dearly hope to return.”
